Holiday and Birthday fun

The Christmas season is always very busy and packed for us. We have two birthdays and Christmas all in the span of 6 days. Warning, this is an overload of fun. :) We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. We have been very blessed.

Timothy got this bumbo seat for Christmas and really likes sitting in it.

This was one of the few pictures we got of Evan's birthday party. He didn't want us to sing to him, so we just said Happy Birthday and he blew out the candle.

He got this wonderful sled from Santa. We all had a blast riding with Evan down the slope. You can see on his face how much fun he was having. I don't think he has ever had so much fun. It was a blast! He and Papa were having a great time.

This is how he got up the hill. He would lie in the sled and one of us had to pull him up.

Daddy and Timothy catching a short nap.

Nina and Timothy Christmas morning.

Evan got the jersey he'd been wanting all season. His Brandon Marshall jersey. He was so excited to put it on.

The happy family on Christmas morning.

Evan was pretending to be a baby just like Timothy.

Mema and Mommy with our boys. Silly Evan has a label from a shirt over his mouth. He did that himself.

Papa and Evan posing in front of the Christmas tree.

Evan and Daddy playing with Evan's new train set. You can also see his new front loader behind him. Oh, he got lots of fun new toys to play with.

Evan and Daddy practicing on the sled for later in the day.

Timothy liked his new quilt. He likes frogs. :)

Timothy enjoyed all his new presents too.

This was visiting with Mama before Christmas. Evan wasn't to happy about taking pictures that day.

This was on Evan's actual birthday. I asked him what he wanted to do and he said, "play". So we went to Cherry Creek Mall to play on the breakfast foods.
He really liked the waffles.

He even got some birthday ice cream.

He really had fun taking pictures with Daddy's camera.

Our sweet boys.

Evan opening a Birthday present.

I didn't tell him to do this, he just kissed his brother all on his own. He sure loves his little brother.

Evan did a great job decorating the door for Christmas.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Poppi, Gramma and Aunt Heather.

We spent the Sunday before Thanksgiving with Mama.

Fall Happenings

We have had a busy fall. Timothy and Evan keep growing and are two of the cutest boys ever.

Timothy has been exploring his hands a lot lately. Many times I'll look at him and he's trying to fit his whole hand in his mouth.

For Halloween, we went to Boo at the Zoo with Mema and Papa. Evan had a great time and got lots of candy. Our boys fit right in at the zoo, as they were animals themselves.

Monkeying around.

A cheesy grin with Papa.

Mema and her boys.

Evan loves to sit and talk to Timothy. And Timothy has started to "talk" back. The two are so cute together.

Evan has decided it is time for him to start shaving now. He likes to join Daddy.

Poppi had his hands full with Timothy and Oxford.

I think these two will be great friends when they grow up. Timothy smiles at Evan, and Evan is such a good big brother. He comforts him when he cries and plays with him when he's awake.

We went to visit Mama, my grandma, and there is a statue of a dalmatian. Evan always likes to look at it, but this day he wanted to ride on it.

Helping to water the plants at Mama's.

Four generations.

We had our annual "Team Meeting" Halloween party. Joe always gets Evan to smile.

And he was giving Aunt Megan lots of loves. He did the other girls too, we just don't have pictures. He did ask after everyone left where his ladies were though. I asked him what he meant and he said, "You know, Shannon, Megan, Kelly". There you have it, they are his ladies.

Just some cute pictures of my guys.

Boys, boys, boys

Life with two boys gets very busy. We have had many visitors and lots of fun. Unfortunately poor little Timothy got a sinus infection a couple of weeks ago. He is doing better now, but he was having a hard time sleeping for a few weeks there. I guess that's the fun of siblings, is that when one comes home sick the other is inevitably going to get sick.

All three of my guys are such blessings, and I can't imagine my life without them. I never would have thought I'd have so much love to give, but I've got an abundance of it. I thank God everyday for my family.

This was "Daddy's cousin Josh" and his Uncle Richard visiting and meeting Timothy. We can't just call him Josh anymore, it's always "Daddy's cousin Josh".

So precious. Evan loves his "little brudder" so much. He is so gentle with him and just wants to be with him.

Cousins. Aunt Kira, cousin April and cousin Luca came to visit. These three were having the best time playing together. They found a new hiding place in the storage area under Evan's bed. I don't think you could find kids any cuter.

Evan got a really, really cool gift from Poppi. He got Poppi's old firefighter hat. He was so excited to try it on. It even has our last name on it. That's a pretty special gift. Thank you Poppi!!!

The first week.

Well it has been just over a week now, and life is good. We are still trying to figure feedings out and schedules, but that's to be expected with a newborn. Evan has been doing great. He helps Mommy check up on Timothy and gets in some snuggle time each morning with Mommy before we all have to start our day.

Mommy and Timothy at home.

Evan relaxing with his "baby" in Mommy and Daddy's bed.

Timothy oh too comfortable.

This was in the hospital. Evan was so excited. He got a tool box from little brother Timothy. Here he is working with Daddy. I just hope his hammering didn't bother the other new mommies and babies. :)

What a precious face.

Timothy with Mema.

Timothy with Poppi.

Timothy with Nina.

Evan had been wanting to see Mommy all day. He finally got to give Mommy a hug after meeting his little brother.

I just love this picture. What a happy daddy.

Welcome Timothy Mark!!!

We welcomed Timothy Mark Cheline into our lives Monday, August 3 at 5:57 pm. He weighed in at 6 lbs 14 oz and was 20 1/2 in long. He is a wonderful addition to our growing family. Below are just a few pictures of the day. We will be adding more as time and energy allow.

Children's Museum

We went to the Children's Museum of Denver over the weekend and Evan just loved it. They had machines out front that Evan got to climb in and "drive". He was head over heels excited. Then we went inside and found so many more things to love.

This was in the railroad room. Doesn't he look content?

He and Daddy played basketball. Here Daddy was helping him make a slam dunk.

I can't tell you how long we stayed at the firetruck. We were there for a long, long time. He just loved it. Looks like he has been inspired by his Poppi.

This was in the Big Rig outside.

All little boys need their sound effects. This photo and the next are in the tractor outside.

Look at that concentration. He was making sure he wasn't going to run over anything.

Here he is driving the skid steer. Boy did we have fun.

What have we been up to?

We have been very busy the last several months. The time is getting closer for baby # 2. We have 5 weeks to go before getting to meet this wonderful little boy. Evan is getting excited and loves helping us get the baby's room ready. Below are just some of the things we have been up to. Most of all though Evan just loves to be outside or working with "shemes". He loves his backhoe, excavator and dump truck. A few weeks ago they repaved our street. Evan was in heaven getting to sit and watch all the worker men and their big machines.

We went to the zoo. Evan was traveling in style. Boy what I'd give to be pushed around all day with my feet up and food at my fingertips.

There was a goose that was not afraid of people at all. Evan wanted to get closer but Mommy wouldn't let him.

He is our little sports guy. It doesn't matter the season, he likes any sport. Baseball and basketball seem to be his favorites though.

He has been really good about the baby. He asks a lot if the baby is moving and if he can feel it. It has also gotten to the point where he says mommy doesn't have a lap anymore. He still tries to fit, but it just doesn't work.

He wanted to give his baby brother a kiss.

We had to take the cat to the vet. Evan discovered the carrier and thought it would be a great place for him to play.

He had great fun this day. He and Mema made playdough. He had fun stirring the dough.

Look at the concentration on his face.

I just love this picture. I came in one night while Chris was reading to Evan. Evan had decided that it was time for him and Daddy to read their Bibles. So here are my two men getting into the Word. You can't ask for anything better than that.

These are from Easter. The silly Easter Bunny put an egg up so high that Papa had to help Evan get it down.

These were our two attempts to get a good family picture at Easter. Evan was so distracted by the eggs and candy, this is all we could get.
